WEVA Tackles Video Marketing Challenges at GPVA Event
November 20, 2004
Sarasota, FL - "Successful Strategies in Professional Wedding & Event Videography" was the focus of an interactive Q&A presentation by WEVA International Chairman Roy Chapman to the Greater Philadelphia Videographers Association (GPVA) on November 16, 2004. Rotating images from the event are posted on the front page of the WEVA website at www.weva.com.
Taking direct questions from the group, Chapman engaged attendees in lively, problem-solving scenarios to uncover solutions to the challenges wedding and event videographers are facing today in marketing their professional services.
Other key officials from WEVA were also on hand during the event to talk with GPVA members about industry issues, including WEVA International Director of Educational Development John Zale, Director of Association Communications Dan Argenas, Special Events Director Marc Rogers, and WEVA International Webmaster Edward Cannata.
Lee Rickwood, Managing Editor of Wedding & Event Videography magazine, the official association publication of WEVA International was also present, and talked with attendees about exciting developments appearing in the new, “biggest-ever” issue of the magazine, which was distributed to all videographers at the GPVA event.
In thanking GPVA leaders Bruce Garner, Tim Sudall, and the entire GPVA board for the invitation to speak, Chapman extolled the outstanding qualities of the GPVA leadership, which he said have enabled the group to rise to the top as one of the largest and most active local videographers associations in the country.
“The GPVA is organized and energized and will continue to do great things," said Chapman. "The talent and dedication within this single group is simply extraordinary and it’s exciting to see first-hand, their intense devotion to the sharing of knowledge that is so important for developing successful strategies in today’s competitive marketplace."
Upcoming WEVA International events include the 7th Annual WEVA Town Meeting Tour, which begins in early March in Atlanta and continues on to Chicago, San Francisco, and New York and wraps up in Las Vegas (during NAB week); and the WEVA 15th Annual Wedding & Event Video Expo set for early August 2005.
