2002 Town Meeting Tour Finalized!
November 19, 2001

Sarasota, FL - WEVA International is proud to announce the schedule for its Town Meeting Tour 2002. This represents the fourth year of the Town Meeting Tour. Returning Sponsors Sony Professional and Panasonic Systems are joined by new Sponsors Moore Digital Services and Canopus Systems to bring the largest Tour yet to a city near you.

The Tour will begin with what has always been the best-attended Meeting: New York City, on Monday, January 21, 2002. WEVA will present THREE fabulous workshops, featuring Lance Gray, of Pixelpops, in Dallas; Luisa Winters, of Unforgettable Events, in Maryland; and Donna and Robin Greenwood, from Advanced Video Productions in Chattanooga, TN. The conveniently located New Yorker Hotel, just across the street from Penn Station, will again be the WEVA Town Meeting HQ.

One week later, the Town Meeting Tour heads south for sunny San Juan, Puerto Rico and Hot Shots that Sell. Running from January 28-30, the San Juam workshop presenters are David Robin, of Boulevard Video Productions in Encino, CA; Randy Stubbs, of Silver Star Productions in San Diego; Maureen Bacon, of Impact Images in Boulder, CO; and Lee Rickwood, WEV managing editor, based in Toronto. Being held at the Wyndham El San Juan Hotel, this resort destination promises the kind of education and networking opportunities only see at the WEVA Expo.

Back onto the continental United States, the Tour resumes on Thursday, February 7, with a stop in Houston, TX. WEVA veteran Mark Shepherd, of Shepherd Video Productions in San Jose, CA will be the workshop presenter. The downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel will be the site of the second Texas Town Meeting.

Lance Gray will bring his workshop program to Jacksonville, FL, for the Town Meeting there on Monday, February 11, 2002. The suburban location of the beautiful Sawgrass Marriott Hotel makes this a convenient spot for videographers throughout the Southeastern United States.

WEVA heads off to California for the next two Town Meetings. In San Jose on Monday, February 25, Tim Sudall, of Video One in Philadelphia will be the workshop presenter at the Santa Clara Marriott. Moving south to San Diego, the WEVA Town Meeting there on Thursday,February 28 will feature Art Polin, of 21st Century Productions in Palm Harbour, FL, and will be held at the Mission Valley Marriott.

The Town Meeting Tour returns to Chicago, at the O'Hare Marriott, on Monday, March 11. With workshop presented by Art Polin and Luisa Winters, Chicago is the only stop besides New York with more than one scheduled session.

WEVA continues across the Midwest, stopping in Indianapolis on Thursday, March 14. John Weppler, of Premiere Video in Lindenhurst, NY, a popular presenter, and Chair of the WEVA September 11 Memorial Committee, will be the workshop presenter. With the Radisson City Centre Hotel as the meeting spot, WEVA has a location accessable to everyone across that area.

The Midwest portion of the Town Meeting Tour concludes on Monday, March 18, in the Detroit area. Held in the Troy Marriott Hotel, the workshop presenter will be WEVA Hall of Fame videographer John Goolsby.

As before, the Town Meeting Tour concludes with an expanded reception in Las Vegas, during NAB week. Bally's Las Vegas will again host the WEVA Town Meeting stop, this time on Tuesday, April 9.

The WEVA Town Meeting Tour is, along with local association meetings, the only way to advance your event video education, outside of the WEVA Expo.
