The Knot's New TV Show To Feature WEVA Members
February 14, 2006
New York, NY - The Knot is launching a new TV series directed at the prospective bride that will feature segments devoted exclusively to professional wedding videography.
Acting on input from Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) and WEVA members, The Knot’s new program is designed to keep engaged couples updated on the newest video industry trends and the value of professional videography.
Tim Sudall (right), president of Video One Productions (PA), a multi-year WEVA EXPO featured speaker, and WEVA Committee Chairperson, was recently interviewed for The Knot’s new national TV program.
Sudall’s segment spotlighted the latest trends in wedding video and featured several clips from recent weddings produced by his Philadelphia-based company. "Today's bride has a great deal on her plate when it comes to organizing, planning and producing her dream wedding and I think all professionals in our industry have a huge task in front of them," says Sudall, who is also past president of the Greater Philadelphia Videographers Association.
"We as videographers, need to use all avenues to promote ourselves and our professional video products in order to reach a top position on the bride’s planning list. Programs like this, coupled with the clout of the Knot and other bridal media, can give us that voice and the vehicle by which we can do this. I'm thankful to WEVA and the Knot for helping make this opportunity possible," Sudall said.
"WEVA has been working for almost two years to develop stronger relationships with the leading bridal media through our new association outreach program, and we've been been successful now on a number of fronts," said Dan Argenas WEVA’s Director of Association Communications.
"By working to build vital relationships with leading organizations, including the Modern Bride Group, the WeddingChannel and Wedding Bells Group, and the Knot and The Knot Weddings Magazine we are beginning to accomplish our goal at both the national and local levels, which is to raise general awareness of the enormous value of video and help educate brides.”
Argenas added that, “When the Knot came to us with this proposal, we knew that it provided an important information platform for our members to help educate today’s bride using video. We’re very excited to see it come to fruition.”
A link to the interview with Tim Sudall will be posted on www.weva.com when the program by the Knot is completed.
