InterVideo Showcases WinDVD Blu-ray Disc Playback

Wuhan, China - InterVideo, a member of the Blu-ray Disc Association, announced today that they will showcase their universal DVD player software, WinDVD(R), at the Blu-ray Disc (BD) Association Seminar in China on November 2-3, 2005. Members of the Blu-ray Disc Association and contributors will display and demonstrate BD and BD-related products and technology at the seminar. In addition to the company's presentation and demonstration, InterVideo will co-host the seminar with the Blu-ray Disc Association.
With over 125 million copies shipped worldwide, InterVideo says that WinDVD is the first DVD playback software to provide a complete Blu-ray playback solution including BDAV (video file in BD format). Additionally, InterVideo WinDVD BD supports advanced interactive features with BDMV (movie) titles as well as the BD-J specification. This specification allows movie enthusiasts to take advantage of all BD disc interactive playback features including subtitles, play modes, angles and direct Internet connectivity for content updates.

The opening speech will be conducted by InterVideo China's President, Ming Chi. The speech will discuss the BD development in the PC software field.
Designed to maximize the BD experience, WinDVD BD has been designed to allow consumers to navigate and play back content on BD discs for maximum entertainment and enjoyment. InterVideo WinDVD Blu-ray will be available in the near future.
